This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or engage us for our services. It is written in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) and other applicable UAE laws.

By using our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Personal Data We Collect

The personal data we collect depends on how you interact with us:

  • Website enquiries: when you fill in a contact or enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message.
  • Client onboarding and service delivery: if you engage us for accounting, tax, AML or compliance services, we collect the business and financial information necessary to carry out that engagement, which may include trade licence details, financial statements, invoices, bank statements, VAT and Corporate Tax records, and identification documents for Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering purposes.
  • Website usage data: like most websites, our server and analytics tools automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring website, typically collected through cookies (see Section 7).
  • Marketing communications: if you opt in to receive newsletters or updates, we collect your name and email address for that purpose.

We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (such as health, religious or biometric data) through our website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes for our services.
  • To perform accounting, bookkeeping, VAT, Corporate Tax and AML compliance services under our engagement with you.
  • To meet our own legal and regulatory obligations, including obligations under UAE tax law and Anti-Money Laundering regulations, which may require us to verify client identity, retain records and, where legally required, report information to UAE government authorities such as the Federal Tax Authority.
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of our website.
  • To send marketing communications, only where you have opted in, and always with an option to unsubscribe.
  • To comply with a court order, legal process or lawful request from a UAE regulatory or government authority.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the PDPL, we rely on one or more of the following grounds to process personal data: your consent, the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (such as a client engagement letter), our compliance with a legal obligation (such as tax or AML record-keeping), and our legitimate business interests, provided these do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

5. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:

  • UAE government and regulatory authorities, including the Federal Tax Authority and other competent bodies, where required by UAE law, such as under tax or Anti-Money Laundering reporting obligations.
  • Service providers who support our operations, such as IT hosting, software and email providers, under confidentiality obligations and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.
  • Professional advisors, such as our own auditors, bankers or legal counsel, where necessary.
  • A buyer or successor, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of some or all of our business assets, subject to the same confidentiality commitments described in this Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Client accounting, tax and AML-related records are generally retained for a minimum of five (5) years, in line with UAE tax and Anti-Money Laundering record-keeping requirements, or longer where a specific law requires it. Website enquiry data that does not lead to an engagement is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to and follow up on the enquiry.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and improve its performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; please note that some parts of the website may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

8. Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the PDPL, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected or where you withdraw consent.
  • Object to, or request that we restrict, certain processing of your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, such as marketing communications.
  • Request that we transfer certain personal data to another service provider, where technically feasible.

Some of these rights do not apply where we are legally required to retain or process data, for example accounting, tax and Anti-Money Laundering records that UAE law requires us to keep. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.

9. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Personal data is generally processed and stored within the United Arab Emirates. Where any personal data is transferred outside the UAE, for example to a cloud service provider, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with the requirements of the PDPL.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are directed at businesses and professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
