Athina Fernandes is a Co-Founder of VVouch Accounting Services and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She is also a UAE Chartered Accountant (UAECA) and holds a B.Sc (Hons).
Career
Athina began her career as an audit trainee at UHY in Dubai, where she spent six years building her grounding in audit and assurance. She then joined PwC Middle East as a Senior Associate, before moving in-house as Accounts Manager at Kennedy Towers, a real estate business, where she oversaw accounting across operations in London, Spain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Having worked on both sides of the numbers, first as the auditor reviewing them and then as the manager responsible for producing them, she understands what makes a set of accounts reliable and what makes it hold up under scrutiny. That is the perspective she brings to every VVouch client.
At VVouch
Athina co-founded VVouch to help UAE businesses keep pace with a regulatory landscape that changes quickly. Most business owners are not short of effort; they are short of time to track every new VAT rule, filing requirement and deadline. Her focus is making sure clients hear about those changes early and act on them before they turn into penalties.
She is a firm believer that accountants should step outside their comfort zone and work across industries, and that exposure shapes the practical, sector-aware advice VVouch gives its clients.
